At The Roffen we try hard to keep our fees as low as possible
while offering you more flexibility and more facilities
than any other club in the Medway area.
Our fees for 2013 are still at 2008 rates

If you are looking at other Health Clubs you will know they ALL keep their fees a secret, they won't give them out over the phone, most don't even have a written list to give you, some won't even tell you the difference between single & joint, some have automatically renewing annual contracts, some use debt collection agencies to chase you if you fall behind. NOT AT THE ROFFEN! We are open and honest about our fees as we believe you have a right to know, a right to change your mind, and a right to good service. - 10% DISCOUNT FOR PAYING ANNUALLY

- NO CONTRACT DIRECT DEBIT AVAILABLE - An alternative to a 12 month contract, slightly higher but you can leave when you like (although our normal DD contracts end automatically after 12 months, unlike a lot of clubs).
- MEMBERSHIP ON HOLD - Ideal for long holidays and periods of illness.
- UNLIMITED TRANSFER BETWEEN MEMBERSHIP LEVELS - Go up or down as you like.

The building is enormous (being over six stories high), basically it is like the Tardis, and packed with things that could benefit your life in far more ways than just belonging to a vast warehouse full of fitness machines. This is a REAL club with real club advantages. DESIGNED FOR THE OVER 30's? We say that because we give our Health Club members FREE use of our private Members Club, which adds in bars, a private restaurant, lounges, parties, events and loads more. This tends to be more attractive to a slightly older age group - but we welcome the 20-30 age group with open arms as well!!

Remember - to get our best membership rates then you should join with a friend (joint membership) and pay for a year by cash, cheque or card. Even better - join as a group of four or more and save another 15%! All our prices are competetive so choose whichever option suits you best. All HEALTH CLUB memberships include FREE membership of The Private Members Club. You can change membership options with ease during the year, you can take breaks, you can have no-contract DD's. We really ARE flexible and cooperative and OPEN about our fees - no issues, no problems, no dramas. not even any queues for machines!

SOCIAL and BUSINESS membership - from £5.85
IF YOU WANT A BETTER SOCIAL LIFE AND TO HAVE SOMEWHERE NICE TO GO
Use The Members Club at all times, guests welcome at no extra cost (does not include the Health Club)
SINGLE £8 a month by DD (no contract £9) - or - £85 annually (equal to £7.10 a month)
JOINT £6.50 each a month by DD (no contract £7.50 each) - or - £140 annually (equal to £5.85 a month)
OCCASIONAL (pay-as-you-go) MEMBERSHIP - from £14.58
IF YOU WOULD LIKE THE USE OF A HEALTH CLUB - BUT NOT EVERY WEEK
Pay a lower monthly fee and then pay-as-you-go paying from £5 a visit to the Health Club (includes unlimited use of The Members Club at no extra cost).
SINGLE £20 a month by DD (no contract £22) - or - £200 annually (equal to £16.66 a month)
JOINT £17.50 a month each by DD (no contract £19 each) - or - £350 annually (equal to £14.58 a month each)

WEEKEND MEMBERSHIP - from £19.40
IF YOU ONLY WORK OUT AT WEEKENDS
Use the Health Club peak and off-peak on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays (includes unlimited use of The Members Club at no extra cost).
SINGLE £25 a month by DD (no contract £27) - or - £270 annually (equal to £22.50 a month)
JOINT £21.50 a month each by DD (no contract £23.50 each) - or - £465 annually (equal to £19.40 a month each)
OFF-PEAK (silver) MEMBERSHIP - from £32.30
IF YOU REGULARLY WORK OUT DURING THE DAY
Use the Health Club between opening and 5.30pm seven days a week (includes unlimited use of The Members Club at no extra cost).
SINGLE £46 a month by DD (no contract £49) - or - £495 annually (equal to £41.25 a month)
JOINT £36 a month each (no contract £38.50 each) - or - £775 annually (equal to £32.30 a month each)
FULL (gold) MEMBERSHIP - from £45
IF YOU ARE A REGULAR HEALTH CLUB USER WHO WANTS UNLIMITED ACCESS
Use the Health Club at all times, peak and off-peak (includes unlimited use of The Members Club at no extra cost).
SINGLE £59 a month by DD (no contract £63) - or - £645 annually (equal to £53.75 a month)
JOINT £49 a month each by DD (no contract £53 each) - or - £1080 annually (equal to £45 a month each)
We do NOT charge a JOINING FEE.
We charge new members a one-time up front fee of £40 (Social Members £15) and each member gets: -
- An Electronic Door Entry Key
- Introductory one hour training session in the gym
- A three course meal in the restaurant
- High speed solarium token
- A complimentary guest pass for a friend
Worth a total value of £63 to a Health Club Member (and worth £35 for Social Members).

SOME MORE IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
That separates The Roffen from The Rest
GUESTS - £5
Guests are always welcome at The Roffen and should be signed in on each visit.
There is no charge for any guest to visit the MEMBERS CLUB socially, they just need to be signed in.
The charge for a guest using the HEALTH CLUB is currently just £5 per visit for unlimited use of the facilities, stay as long as you like.
The same guest should not use the Health Club facilities more than twice in any one month, if they want to use the club more then they should join in their own right.. Guests may use the HEALTH CLUB at the same times as their hosts membership allows. Guests must be accompanied at all times by a member, both in the Health Club and the Members Club
DISCOUNTS
10% for paying up front by cash, cheque or card, between 10% and 20% for joining as a couple or with a friend (depending on membership choosen), 15% across the board for joining as a group of four or more (ideal for companies, families or groups of friends).
MIX and MATCH
Join on a JOINT or GROUP membership and choose different memberships, one Gold, one Social maybe - suit yourself.
We simply charge the higher cost membership at a single rate and the second membership at 50% of the joint rate.
CHANGE MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
Members have the ability to swop between memberships to suit their changing lifestyle. This means that you could be a GOLD member while you have time to work out regularly, but change to OCCASIONAL when time is tight.
Membership changes can be made for whole months in advance and there is a charge of £10 per change.
Changes are made by using the application form provided at the bar giving 28 days notice. No downward level change in the first three months of membership.
No refunds are given, those paying by DD simply pay the appropriate fee, those who paid in full have their renewal date recalculated.
MEMBERSHIP-ON-HOLD
If you find that you are unable to use your HEALTH CLUB membership for a time due to long holidays or periods of illness then put it on hold.
Memberships can be on hold for up to four full months in advance for a charge of £10 per month. Changes are made using the application form provided at the bar giving 28 days notice. Whilst a membership is on hold that member should not use the HEALTH CLUB at all - even as the guest of another member. During a period when your HEALTH CLUB membership is on hold you still retain full use of the PRIVATE MEMBERS CLUB at all times.
NO-CONTRACT DIRECT DEBIT
All memberships are for a period of one year from your joining date BUT our contracts only run for 12 months - after that everyone is on NO-CONTRACT automatically (unlike some clubs were the contract auto-renews every year without your knowledge!)
However, members who wish to pay by direct debit but do not want to commit to a years contract can pay the 'no-contract' rate. This is slightly higher than the normal 12 month rate and covers the administrative costs of setting up and accounting for a direct debit that may only last a month or two, it also covers the club for the gifts given with the Administration Fee on joining.
Alternatively, take the normal one-year contract, and if you do have to terminate early, buy out for four months payments. After paying a direct debit for more than 12 months you automatically gain the right to terminate at any time.
CORPORATE OR GROUP DISCOUNT
Join as a group of FOUR people from the same company or organisation (or just as a group of friends) and receive a 15% overall reduction.
Ideal for business and organisations. Pay individually or arrange one payment for the group.
